entropy
a live stream of the blockchain, drawn as generative art.
what if you could watch a live stream of the blockchain? that question is where entropy comes from. onchain generative art.
i trained as a mechanical engineer and never lost the taste for physics, chladni figures in particular: the patterns sand forms on a vibrating plate.
i built a prototype that used chladni figures to represent entropy. something felt off, as if a piece was missing.
then, one day in the shower: what if we could watch the blockchain live?
months of research, coding, and testing followed. what came out combined chladni figures with block hashes: the stream.
a livestream of the ethereum blockchain, where each block's hash generates its own chladni-like figure.
absolute zero
what if people could own the visual of a single block, like one frame of a video? that is absolute zero: 512 editions.
the name is a nod to absolute zero (−273.15 °c), the temperature at which nothing moves and everything is frozen in time, like a frame in a video.
each frame is generated on the ethereum blockchain by the evm itself. each edition is made of either intent (curves) or data (pixels): the data stored on a blockchain versus the intent behind it.
entropy was one of the most successful nft projects of 2022, and the one i am most attached to.
