cbdc airdrop

cbdc airdrop

an artwork about digital currencies that knows when you look away.

cbdc airdrop is a browser-based 1/1 about central bank digital currencies, attention, and the feeling of being watched by infrastructure that is supposed to be invisible.

the artwork changes when you switch tab, minimize the browser, or look away. the browser visibility api is part of the mechanism: your attention is one of the inputs.

the source code carries part of the story. instead of treating it as a hidden delivery layer, i used it as one more place where the narrative can live.

cbdc airdrop code story

this is the central trick: the artwork behaves differently depending on whether you are there. if the tab loses focus, the piece can tell. the browser becomes a surveillance device, and the ordinary gesture of switching tabs becomes part of the argument.

so cbdc airdrop stages its topic rather than illustrating it. you are looking at an image about control while a system quietly measures how much of your attention it gets.
